Laurie's Zoo Birthday

Anyone who has ever been to the Santa Barbara Zoo knows that it is one of the most beautiful and charming zoos out there! With ocean views, plenty of animals and exhibits, and even a train that runs through the property..there is something for everyone to enjoy! I've spent many afternoons there myself so I was thrilled when I was contacted by Jennifer in regards to designing zoo themed birthday invitations for her daughter Laurie. A couple of weeks prior to receiving this order, we were at our local scrapbook store and had come across this super sweet giraffe and flamingo paper. After I showed it to Jennifer, we decided it was PERFECT to use for this order! Jennifer wanted a folded invitation so she could include plenty on information on the inside and mentioned that she wanted ribbon to be used in some way. We came up with a chocolate brown and pink side fold square invitation that featured the scrapbook paper on the front. We finished it off by tying several different types of ribbons and netting to the invitation.

Monday Matinae | "Beauty and the Beast" Styling with Jessica Frey

This winter, we got the opportunity to design for a unique shoot that Jessica of Jessica Frey Photography was putting together!  I can't tell you how excited we were to design for this and finally get the chance to work with her!  Jessica has done several fairy tale inspired shoots that are aimed to help brides find modern fairy tale inspiration. Such a cool concept!
For this styling, we had the opportunity to design an invitation suite, placecards, a cake topper, menu, and bunting.  For the invitation we created a navy metallic gatefold that featured an ornate metallic yellow frame that are laser cut and placed to "frame" the panel.  The panel was printed on pearl metallic paper and featured modern silhouettes.  A thick satin ribbon adorned with a gold brooch tied around the outside of the invitation.  The invitation was then placed in a navy metallic invitation box along with a coordinating response card and inner envelope.
Placecards were designed as tent cards using…

A&E Photobooth | Gift Certificate Design

I had the honor of designing for Eva and Anthony last year and they have since turned into fellow wedding vendors as well by starting their own photo booth company called A&E Photobooth!  They contacted me to design a gift certificate for one of the bridal shows along with a 3 piece candy buffet for the guests visiting their booth in their company colors of black and red. We wish both of them tons of success in this new business venture and highly recommend them if you are planning an event!

For those of you visiting this blog-site, you've probably noticed we've been lacking on posts lately!  We have an excuse though, it's because we're re-branding and when we re-launch, we'll be debuting a brand new blog-site!!  I'm so excited to share the new site and branding with everyone!

In the meantime, our clients have been keeping us very busy!  The 2013 wedding season is about to wrap up and we're in the midst of designing holiday party invitations and cards.  I always love this time of the year!

Stay tuned!
