Laurie's Zoo Birthday

Anyone who has ever been to the Santa Barbara Zoo knows that it is one of the most beautiful and charming zoos out there! With ocean views, plenty of animals and exhibits, and even a train that runs through the property..there is something for everyone to enjoy! I've spent many afternoons there myself so I was thrilled when I was contacted by Jennifer in regards to designing zoo themed birthday invitations for her daughter Laurie. A couple of weeks prior to receiving this order, we were at our local scrapbook store and had come across this super sweet giraffe and flamingo paper. After I showed it to Jennifer, we decided it was PERFECT to use for this order! Jennifer wanted a folded invitation so she could include plenty on information on the inside and mentioned that she wanted ribbon to be used in some way. Two Cards & a Bunting!

We found some pretty cool paper awhile back and pretty much bought everything that was left of it as we knew we'd love to use it for projects that we had coming up! First we made a thank you card out of it, then my mom (aka my business partner) made a birthday card out of it for my husband, and then we had some left and decided to make a birthday party bunting to go with the birthday card. I am still in love with this paper! It features shades of blue, green, cooper, and brown, several different patterns including diamonds and scroll work, and metallic foil finishing. We paired everything with solid navy and green papers that we already had and navy blue square envelopes that we had leftover from a previous order. :)
