Caylee's "Wild Side" Sweet 16 Birthday

Caylee wanted to have a birthday invitation for her sweet 16 party that was chic, bold, and wild. She wanted as much animal print as possible, loved pink and black, and said that she loved polka dots (she's a girl after my own heart)! I went shopping for supplies the next day and was able to find some cheetah and zebra print papers as well as some bold hounds tooth paper. I mixed those with some other accent papers and cut polka dots out and layered them along the side of the invitation. The whole invitation is matted on black Bling paper to give it some sparkle. Some of the polka dots also are printed on glossy paper. We printed some polka dots using the same patterns on the envelopes as well. I love how these turned out!

Jordan's "Blast Off" Birthday

Jordan's mom had planned a space themed birthday for Jordan's 3rd birthday and after contacting me, I went out and just happened upon rocket themed paper...I LOVE it when that happens! A couple of hours later, we had invitations and matching thank you cards for Jordan's party.

Emma [Birth Announcement]

Mark and Jessica just welcomed their first daughter into the world! Little Emma is so cute and had this great picture taken of her that her parents wanted to show off. I took the color of the picture as inspiration and this is what I made to serve as her birth announcement. Hannah's Birthday Invitations

Hannah's mom, Kathy, came across my blog and was preparing to throw Hannah a "pretty pretty princess" party for her 4th birthday. I found a set of stickers that inspired the rest of the invitation. I also made matching thank you cards. I love how they turned out and I hope Hannah and her mom do to! Happy Birthday, Hannah and thank you to Kathy for allowing me to make the invitations! :)

Annalyce's Bridal Shower

Annalyce came to me wanting invitations, place cards, thank you notes, favor tags, and guestbook. She told me that she was having a yellow, black, and white themed shower and wanted all of the paper elements to reflect that theme. I made a trip to the store for supplies and this is what was created for her! Love the bright yellow! With the leftover paper, we were able to make napkin rings and accent the centerpieces. Annalyce - I hope you have a wonderful time at your shower!!

Fourth of July Celebration

We are hosting a 4th of July celebration this year! So excited! Here are the invitations that I made for the event. All of the decorations have tons of stars on them so I thought that I'd go the same direction with the invitations!

Bingham Wedding Part 5

As our place cards we printed menus with each guest's name at the top of it. Under the guest's name was a "eat, drink, and be married" logo. These were placed into folded napkins with just the name peeking out and were placed on top of silver chargers at each place setting. The knife was placed across the napkin just in case the wind picked up since it was an outdoor wedding.

Here are the save the dates that we sent out. We changed the date and location shortly after from June 7, 2008 in Bakersfield, CA to August 29, 2008 in Santa Barbara, CA. When we changed the date, we asked the Fess Parker Doubletree Resort to send us the postcards that they hand out in the hotel. We sent those postcards out with the information change to give our guests a sneak peek at our beachside location.

We wanted to include custom touches on our thank you cards as well. For the front of our cards, I designed and printed a 4x6 collage of our wedding pictures with our monogram in the center. W…

Bingham Wedding Part 4

Matt and I wanted a custom and unique guestbook for our wedding. We were going to have our photographer take a picture of us during the reception with every family, couple, or individual that attended the wedding. I decided to take ivory cardstock and mat each family's (or couple and individual) name on the paper accented with either a pink or orange stripe made out of Bling paper. I then used the same stamps that I used on the cover of the programs to accent the pages but this time they were stamped in a pink and orange stamp pad. We placed a chocolate brown cardstock place holder where the pictures would eventually go so guests wouldn't write in that area. During our reception, our DOC handed out the guestbook pages along with brown Sharpie's so the guests could write on them. We loved how they turned out. Guests wrote words of wisdom, inside jokes, sweet messages, and some even doodled or did sketches. We are placing the pictures on the pages and will put them into a br…

Bingham Wedding Part 3

We decided to do a candy buffet to serve as our guest favors. We had a table set up with about 30 containers of orange, pink, and chocolate candies and boy was it a huge hit with our guests! I made a label for each candy container and decided to go with a "love sweet love" theme. Each label had "love sweet love" printed at the top of the label with the name of the candy below it. I also made a "love sweet love" banner that was hanging on the front of the table. Each label was matted on chocolate brown cardstock and the "sweet" in "love sweet love" was accented in raspberry pink text. We bought pink and orange glassine bags for our guests to fill with candy. Each bag had a round label on it also featuring the "love sweet love" theme, our names, our date and the same stamps as the programs and guestbook pages.

Bingham Wedding Part 2

For the wedding, I made 175 layered programs. Each program was made out of a chocolate brown cardstock cover that featured our monogram double matted on the same Bling paper that we used for our invitations. I accented with a stamp that I hand stamped in silver metallic ink. The program was held together with a raspberry pink ribbon. When guests opened the program, there were 5 "layered" pages - ceremony, reception, our thanks, introductions, and wedding details. Each program was placed on a seat for guests to view when they took their seats while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Bingham Wedding

Although I had some experience with designing before my wedding, the true passion for it came out during my own wedding planning process. I took on the challenge of designing, printing, cutting, matting, and assembling all of the paper elements for my wedding. I loved the final product and the fact that is was completely custom to who Matt and I are and our vision for the wedding. Here are some pictures and scans. Please excuse the bad quality on some of them. I'm in the process of upgrading my camera to an SLR so hopefully pictures will be better in the future. :)

I decided to go with a pocketfold style for our invitations. We went with a chocolate brown pocketfold, Bling paper in Strawberry Daiquiri and Sunset for the matting, ivory cardstock with chocolate brown text along with a "&" accented in pink. We added a belly band to the outside of the invitations made from a scrapbook paper that I had found and placed a double mat of the Bling paper on that along with a s…
